Security guards in Hounslow

Hounslow's west sits beside Heathrow, with airport-related logistics around Feltham, Bedfont and Hatton Cross, while its east holds the offices of the Great West Road and Chiswick. Albiz Security provides SIA-licensed security officers for both, and covers the shops of Hounslow, Brentford and Feltham, building sites on the Golden Mile and events across the borough. We monitor officers and sites 24/7.

Which parts of Hounslow do we cover?

The whole borough, from Chiswick in the east to Feltham and Bedfont on the Surrey border.

The west of the borough sits beside Heathrow. Hounslow’s draft Local Plan, still being examined in 2026, describes a concentration of airport-related business there: logistics, hotels and catering, and industrial estates and business parks such as Bedfont Lakes. North Feltham Trading Estate is a Strategic Industrial Location, and the plan says much of it holds Heathrow-related operations. It also proposes new employment sites at Hatton Cross and Cranford, and describes Feltham as mostly low-rise homes with large areas given over to employment.

The Great West Road has two stretches that the draft plan names as key office locations, and its four-kilometre stretch from Chiswick Business Park through Brentford to Syon Lane is the council’s Golden Mile. The council’s investment framework plans up to 14,000 homes and 14,000 to 25,000 jobs over the life of the programme, in sectors such as creative tech, digital media and life sciences, and sets out how investment will be guided over the next 15 years. The London Plan, which calls the area the Great West Corridor, notes the Art Deco buildings it inspired in the 1930s (London Plan). Part of the road, with Transport Avenue in Brentford, is a Strategic Industrial Location too.

Town centres. Hounslow is a Metropolitan centre, Chiswick a Major centre, and Brentford and Feltham are District centres (London Plan). The council has a masterplan for regenerating Hounslow town centre (Hounslow Council).

Parks. Gunnersbury Park, on the Ealing border, can host a concert for 20,000 people (Gunnersbury). Syon Park is in Brentford, and Osterley Park straddles the border with Ealing.

What needs guarding in Hounslow?

Airport-side logistics. At a warehouse or yard in Feltham, Bedfont, Hatton Cross or Cranford, an officer can run the gatehouse, check drivers, vehicles and trailer seals against your delivery schedule, and direct HGVs to the right bay. After the last shift, they lock up and walk the yard and fences. See warehouse and industrial security.

Offices. The draft plan’s key office locations are the four town centres, sections of the Great West Road, and the business parks at Chiswick and Bedfont Lakes. In an office along the road or in a business park, our office security officers can greet visitors, issue passes and control who gets past reception, then lock up and patrol after hours.

Building sites. A programme of up to 14,000 homes on the Golden Mile, plus the Hounslow town centre masterplan, means building sites along busy main roads. Construction site security can control the gate by day and guard the site at night, and traffic marshals can guide deliveries in off the main road.

Shops. Hounslow’s businesses have voted to set up Hounslow’s Heart, a Business Improvement District for the town centre, for five years (Hounslow Council). A uniformed retail security officer works on your own shop floor, deterring theft and backing up your staff.

Events. Gunnersbury Park ran a summer concert series in 2026, and event builds there can take weeks: for one festival with its main day on 2 July, the build and break ran from 20 June to 11 July (Gunnersbury). A build site in a public park needs guarding overnight as well as on the day. For an event in the park or elsewhere in Hounslow, see event security.

What should you check first in Hounslow?

  • What the new BID will fund. Hounslow’s Heart is new, so ask what it plans to provide before you book cover for a shop in the town centre.
  • Licences for the evening. The London Plan rates Hounslow’s night-time economy as regionally significant and Chiswick’s as more than local. If staff will control the door of a licensed venue, each one needs an SIA door supervisor licence (SIA).
  • Brentford’s growth. The London Plan gives Brentford high potential for both commercial and residential growth, with room for new offices. If you’re moving into new space there, plan security before you open.
