Cookie policy

This website sets analytics cookies only if you agree, and we don’t use advertising cookies or Google Analytics. This page lists the cookies we use, what each one does and how to change your choice at any time.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser so that it can remember something, such as a choice you’ve made. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as information a website keeps in your browser’s storage.
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) set the UK’s rules on cookies. We ask for your agreement before we set any cookie that isn’t necessary for the site to work.
Do we set cookies before you choose?
Only necessary ones. We don’t set analytics cookies, or any other optional cookies, until you agree, and HubSpot’s code doesn’t load at all until then. If you say no, you can still use the site and send us a form.
Which cookies do we use?
We ask for your choice in our own banner, which calls the analytics cookies below “optional cookies”. HubSpot runs our website analytics, and most of the cookies below come from it. They fall into two categories:
- Necessary: these make the site work and remember your cookie choice. They don’t need your consent.
- Analytics: these show us how people use the site, and let HubSpot link your visits to an enquiry you send us. We set them only if you agree. HubSpot’s code then also records the links you click, and works out a coded identifier from your browser’s details, to recognise it.
| Cookie | What it’s for | Category |
|---|---|---|
albiz_consent |
Remembers for up to six months whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don’t ask on every page | Necessary |
hubspotutk |
Recognises your browser on later visits. It’s sent to HubSpot with a form, so that HubSpot can link your earlier visits to your enquiry | Analytics, only if you agree |
__hstc |
HubSpot’s main analytics cookie. It records when you first visited, your last and current visits, and how many visits you’ve made | Analytics, only if you agree |
__hssc |
Tracks your current visit, including how many pages you’ve viewed | Analytics, only if you agree |
__hssrc |
Tells HubSpot when you’ve restarted your browser, so it knows a new visit has begun | Analytics, only if you agree |
If you accept, HubSpot can also set a few cookies that it counts as necessary, for example for bot protection. It also keeps some analytics information in your browser’s storage, which follows the same choice as its analytics cookies. HubSpot’s cookie list describes each one and how long it lasts.
We don’t set any advertising cookies.
What about the bot check on our forms?
Pages with a form use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a bot, is sending it. It keeps spam out of our forms, so we treat it as necessary. It sets no cookies, but it keeps one small item, cf.turnstile.u, in your browser’s storage for Cloudflare’s own address, challenges.cloudflare.com.
Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum explains what information the check uses.
How do you change your choice?
You can change your mind at any time.
- Cookie settings: use the “Cookie settings” link at the foot of any page to open the banner again, then accept or reject analytics cookies.
- Your browser: most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies in their settings. Deleting our cookies also deletes your choice, so the banner will ask you again.
If you reject them after accepting, HubSpot’s code stops loading, and we delete its cookies and the analytics information it kept in your browser. We ask again after six months, or sooner in browsers such as Safari, which clear a choice like this after about a week.
Where can you find out more?
Our privacy notice explains how we use personal data, including what HubSpot records if you agree to analytics cookies, and the rights you have. If you have a question about cookies, email info@albiz.co.uk or call 020 8305 1122.
We’ll update this page if the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
