Accessibility statement

Last updated

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader or screen magnification. We aim to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, but we don’t claim that every page fully meets it yet. This statement explains how we test the site, what we’ve done, what doesn’t work well yet and how to tell us about a problem.

It covers the whole of this website, which ALBIZ SECURITY LIMITED (Albiz Security) runs.

Which standard do we aim for?

WCAG 2.2, at level AA. These guidelines, from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make websites easier to use for more people, including disabled people.

How do we test the site?

  • Each build of the site runs automated checks with axe, an accessibility testing tool, on every page, at phone and desktop sizes. They test against the WCAG level A and AA rules that a tool can check.
  • Lighthouse, Google’s tool for checking web pages, also checks pages in each build, including for accessibility.
  • We haven’t tested the site by hand yet, with a keyboard or a screen reader.

Automated tools find only some problems, which is one reason we don’t claim full conformance.

What have we done to make the site easier to use?

  • Keyboard: the site is built to work with a keyboard. Use the Tab key to move through links, buttons and form fields.
  • Visible focus: a clear outline shows which link, button or field you’re on.
  • Skip link: a “Skip to content” link at the start of each page takes you past the menu.
  • Reduced motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, the films and animations on the homepage, and across the site, stay still.
  • Pause buttons: a pause button stops the homepage’s ring of films for anyone, and the other films on the site each have their own. The films also stay still if your device is set to save data.
  • Films: the films are silent and decorative, so screen readers skip them.
  • Text: key facts are in the page text, not only in images, PDFs or collapsed sections.
  • Forms: every field has a visible label, and optional fields are marked.
  • Phone: our phone number is a link, so on a phone you can tap it to call us.
  • Language: each page is marked as UK English, so screen readers pronounce it correctly.

What doesn’t work well yet?

  • The bot check on our forms: Cloudflare Turnstile usually runs without you doing anything, but sometimes asks you to tick a box. If it stops you sending a form, call or email us instead.
  • Other problems: we don’t know of any others. We haven’t tested the site by hand yet, so there may be problems that automated checks can’t find. Please tell us if you find one.

Can you get information in another format?

Yes. If you need something on this site in another format, such as large print or plain text, email info@albiz.co.uk or call 020 8305 1122. Tell us which page it’s on and the format you need.

How do you report a problem?

If you find a problem we haven’t listed, or something stops you using the site, tell us by email at info@albiz.co.uk or by phone on 020 8305 1122. It helps if you tell us the page’s web address, what went wrong, and the device and software you were using.

We’ll reply as soon as we can.

When was this statement prepared?

We prepared this statement on 31 October 2026, using the results of the automated tests described above. We’ll update it as we fix problems and find new ones.
