Review policy
Last updated
Reviews of Albiz Security must be genuine, and not false or misleading. We never write, buy or commission fake reviews, we never offer anything in return for a review, and we never hide a review because it’s negative. This policy explains how we ask for, handle and show reviews, and how to tell us about a review you think breaks these rules.
Which rules do we follow?
The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 bans fake reviews, reviews that hide an incentive, and presenting reviews in a misleading way. These rules took effect on 6 April 2025. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) explains them in its guidance on fake reviews.
The Act protects consumers. We apply the same rules to every review and testimonial of Albiz, including those from businesses, and we follow the rules of each website where people review us.
Where can you review us?
We don’t ask for reviews on any website, and we don’t publish them.
How do we ask for reviews?
We ask our clients for feedback once a year.
Whenever we ask for reviews:
- We ask all our clients in the same way, not only those we think are happy.
- We don’t check how someone feels about our work before deciding whether to ask them.
- We don’t tell anyone what to write, or ask for a particular rating.
- We don’t stop and start our requests to avoid negative reviews.
What do we never do?
We never:
- write, buy or commission fake reviews, or ask anyone to review a service they haven’t used
- offer money, discounts, gifts, prize draws or any other reward in return for a review
- ask our staff, our directors, or their families and friends, to review Albiz
- write reviews of other security companies
- hide, delete or play down genuine negative reviews
- pressure anyone to change or remove a review
Our staff must not review Albiz as if they were clients.
How do we show reviews and testimonials on this site?
- This site doesn’t show review stars or ratings about Albiz.
- When we quote a client, the words are theirs. We publish a quote or a case study only with the client’s written approval, which we keep on file.
- We don’t edit a quote in a way that changes its meaning.
- If we ever show reviews from another website, we’ll show a fair selection, not only the most positive, and link to where you can read them all.
How do we respond to reviews?
- We read every review, positive or negative, and reply politely.
- We don’t share private details about clients or their sites in our replies.
- If a review raises a problem, we look into it and, where we can, contact the reviewer to try to put it right.
- If we believe a review is fake, or breaks the rules of the website it’s on, we may report it to that website. We never report a review just because it’s negative.
How can you report a review?
If you think a review of Albiz is fake, was paid for, or breaks this policy in any other way, tell us by email at info@albiz.co.uk or by phone on 020 8305 1122. Tell us where the review is and why you’re concerned. We’ll look into it and tell you what we’ve done.
You can also report a review to the website where it appears. If you think we’ve broken this policy ourselves, please tell us in the same way.
Will this policy change?
We’ll update this page if the way we handle reviews changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
